About Gippy Food Trucks
Who we are
We’re an East Gippsland family who run our own food trailer, Guac On, and we’ve been part of the local event scene for years. Markets, school fairs, footy days, community events, weddings — we’ve cooked at many of them and met some of the best people doing it.
And while we loved the work itself, we noticed something that made life a lot harder than it needed to be:
There was no simple way to find food trucks in Gippsland.
No central directory.
No quick way for event organisers to get in touch.
Just scattered posts, endless messages, and way too much guesswork.
So we decided to fix it — not as a big company, but as locals who felt the gap every week.
Why we built this directory
Because we’re food truck folks ourselves, we know exactly what’s frustrating on both sides.
Event organisers are trying to plan ahead with limited information.
Food trucks are trying to keep up with enquiries while actually running their business.
Everyone ends up messaging ten different people, repeating the same details, and waiting for replies that get buried in inboxes.
We wanted a better system — something genuinely helpful.
